Jesus served others and helped those in need. We feel this is our calling at Kenwood. Serving our community is very important to us. We have developed a partnership with our community through these service opportunities. We are grateful to the community for their overwhelming response and openness to serving with us.

Service projects
Listed below are some of the ways we provided for others in the past 18 months:
► Over 200 Bibles for area veterans,
►1,800+ bags of food providing a day’s worth of meals for a family of 3 to 4,
►35,000+ household/clothing items,
►3,000 cans of pop donated to campus ministries to make student contacts
►2,000+ winter coats and winter apparel items,
►50 families a full Thanksgiving Dinner,
►2+ tons of food for a Christian service camp,
►500+ boxes of food packed for a local food bank,
►$3,000 and over a ton of medical supplies for the Haitian earthquake efforts,
►Numerous drives for our mission partners
►Adopted Webster Elementary School in Livonia, Michigan. The school is for gifted and special needs students. We have supported Webster in the following ways: 75+ backpacks full of school supplies for their students and others in need throughout the district, Multiple yard workdays to help improve the school grounds, 35 “classroom care kit” of supplies to start this year, $1,200 in books and provided people to read to the students to support “March is Reading Month” and Provided Christmas gifts to families in need,
►Adopted a local senior citizen apartment complex (156 residents) and offered worship services, game nights, a Living Nativity presentation, 4th of July picnic, Thanksgiving Dinner and remembered them with Valentine’s Day gifts, Mother’s Day gifts, Halloween treats and Christmas Cards.
